About Us

We are a small farm located in Cambridge, Maryland, and have been raising show-quality miniature horses for many years.  We look forward to foaling season each year and offer our foals for sale to loving homes.

Our birthing stalls are neat and roomy and are monitored via a closed-circuit video camera.

Ruby and Simon, Our Dwarf Minis of Ross Neck

Ruby has become the mascot of our farm. Born January 2005 she was very small at birth and had leg and feet deformities. We tried leg splints and hard acrylic soles on her hind hooves but this had limited results. She preferred to lie around most of the first year, and we were afraid she was in too much pain to go on. Once we began to add a joint supplement, FLEX, it worked miracles. Ruby gets around very well and has her hooves trimmed every month. Ruby is so sweet and kind. Children love to visit and hug on her and she loves the attention. I let Ruby have the run of the yard as she never wanders far from the others and hangs close to barn.

Simon was born in April 07 after a very difficult labor. After a full hour of labor, her mother was unable to deliver Simon because his head was caught under her pelvic rim and, I could not budge him. But, finally once I gave up and after a few more prayers, I saw a little black ear wiggle out from the birth canal. Although he was limp we were able to revive him. Simon's back hooves turn slightly inward, but he runs very well. Simon has colicked twice, but both times we were able to get his pain under control and he recovered fine. My daughter thinks he looks like a wooly mammoth without the tusks.

Both Ruby and Simon stand at around 20” “tall and love to play with each other. All of my other horses seem to know that these two are special and always are gentle with both of them. In the evening when the others are crowded around the barn door to come in for dinner, they always let Simon and Ruby go in first.
