Memory Of Rusty Kinnamon

My husband, Rusty, loved all of the
miniature horses on our farm. What started out as a hobby in 1999 with two
horses became a herd of 30 with each horse having their own stall. Every
year, Rusty and my daughter,Chelsea, would deliver all of the new babies,
while I would pace frantically outside the barn door. He loved to pick up
the new babies so we all could pet and love on them. Rusty never complained
when he would have to drive hours to horse shows or auctions and even when I
brought home new ones. He would just keep adding on to the barn. Rusty
carved each horse their own wooden nameplate for each of their stalls. I am
so happy that Rusty was able to enjoy these little ones in his final years.
The barn became a peaceful retreat for him, and he loved to spend hours with
the horses. Two days before he passed away, he insisted on being taken
outside so he could sit and watch the horses one last time. He died of
pancreatic cancer on June 26th, 2007, at 53 years old. We love and miss you
Rusty.
